MISSION
STATEMENT
OF
JOSHUAS HOME,
Inc.
Gods
providence and fidelity to His people is recognized in our mission dedicated to living out
His covenant among ourselves and those mothers and
children we serve. Absolute respect and unconditional love are the
ingredients. Our message is Human life
and feelings are more important than anything else.
Four percent of families nurture this message,
while ninety-six percent treat
children in a degrading or
dysfunctional way;
therefore leaving children to question their worth &
value. This spells big trouble for future
relationships. Our commitment calls us to
serve suffering mothers or mothers-to be of the street, and their unborn children or at
risk children. Just as Christ in His humanity
is the visible sign of Gods presence among His people, so our efforts in the
community home are a visible sign that effects the presence of God working through the
Holy Spirit among ourselves and our residents.
JOSHUAS
HOME,
Inc. is derived from COMPASSION:
 | Keen awareness of
the interdependence of all things |
 | Ultimate and most
meaningful embodiment of emotional maturity |
 | Through it, a
person achieves the highest peak and deepest reach in their search for self-fulfillment |
 | Not merely
sentiment it is making justice and doing works of mercy |
 | Not merely a
moral commandment but a flow and overflow of the fullest human & divine energies |
 | The whole purpose
of relationship with God is to facilitate love and compassion, patience, tolerance,
humility and forgiveness |
In
addition to outreach, health services, crisis shelter, JOSHUAS HOME,
Inc. offers a variety
of services to the homeless including food, clothing, education, vocational preparation,
substance abuse prevention programs, legal services, recreation, pastoral care, mother /
child programs, a hotline, self-sufficient farming skills, assistance in finding long-term
living accommodations and after care.
JOSHUAS
HOME,
Inc. intends to receive calls from mothers all over the country who need immediate help
and have nowhere else to turn. Lives resulting
from unplanned pregnancies will be saved and a working knowledge of the Bible given those
who would otherwise be victims at risk to a Godless society.
It
takes a village to raise a child. Single
parenting is the toughest job on earth. Although
it may be all right to be a single parent, it is NOT all right to try to do it alone.
